Worldwide Education are looking for an Coach/Instructor/PE Teacher in the Liverpool area, this exciting opportunity involves being responsible for leading fitness, sport, or dance/cheer/Zumba classes in a variety of settings e.g., Nurseries, Schools, Pre-School, community clubs, holiday clubs & parties for varying lengths of time. We also offer curriculum PE and Dance to Primary schools. Lesson plans & outline of skills & exercises to be covered during each term will be provided or discussed in advance to both the school and coach.

Sometimes the coach will be the only adult responsible for a group of up to 30 children, other times there may be support or teaching staff present.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure lessons are safe, fun, fair, accessible, well managed and enable pupils to enjoy a sense of achievement.
  • Follow Lesson Plans discussed/provided but have the ability to adapt sessions appropriately dependent on the needs of young people.
  • Always ensure acceptable pupil behaviour
  • Be aware of any relevant (fire, accidents, wearing of jewellery etc) school/nursery policy & procedures
  • arrive at classes at least 10 minutes before lessons begin to set up and prepare
  • Work to a high legal and ethical standard at all times, paying particular attention to Child Protection & Health & Safety. Adhere to all company policies & procedures.
  • Wear Full of Beans uniform at all times when taking classes, along with appropriate sports clothing and footwear. Long hair should be tied back
  • Feedback any issues following a class asap e.g., Unacceptable behaviour, accidents or near misses. We recommend all coaches write up summary notes after each lesson & record any incidents as these notes could be required at a later date
  • Keep attendance records for every class
  • Deliver healthy lifestyle messages within classes at appropriate times
  • Look after any equipment loaned to them by Full of Beans & ensure it is always well maintained and cleaned. Report any damages or losses asap.
  • Give at least a week’s notice if unable to take a class (so we can find another instructor/coach)
  • Support the Director in establishing the Full of Beans Brand across the Wirral and North East, creating a positive image of the company.



  • To run a club on your own, you must hold an up-to-date Level 2 coaching qualification or similar with expertise and experience in an area of coaching & be able to provide evidence. We are particularly interested to hear from coaches who have experience in delivering multi-skills clubs to children.
  • A support coach must have an up-to-date Level 1 coaching qualification or equivalent with some experience of working with children.
  • A volunteer must have a clear CRB and proven interest in working with children through sport.
  • Provide copies of enhanced CRB certificates (the company will also usually apply for an enhanced CRB for regular coaches)
  • First Aid Qualification
  • Be able to provide at least 2 referees, one of which should include a previous employer
  • A minimum of 1 year working with children and a track record of inspiring young people to participate in sport and physical activity.
  • Full clean drivers’ licence and own transportation.
  • Willingness & flexibility to work varying hours.
  • Excellent timekeeper.
  • Approachable with a positive attitude.
  • Good communicator, especially with children. Have the ability to communicate instructions and commands using clear, simply language and demonstrate activities by breaking tasks down into a sequence.
  • Be a responsible role model gaining the respect and trust of the people you work with.


  • Well organised and able to write progress reports
  • Keen to undertake further on-going professional development and keep up to date with new developments in sport and education.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Innovative, with a track record of devising resources and ideas to aid learning.
  • An understanding of equity issues in sport and promote fair play.
