We are currently recruiting for qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our client’s beautiful Nursery based in Tooting/South London. Successful nursery practitioner candidates can expect a competitive salary, additional training and have the opportunity to grow and progress in your career.

Purpose of the Role:

• To effectively work alongside a team in Early Years to deliver a stimulating and nurturing environment for children as a nursery practitioner
• To work under the person in charge efficiently and carry out tasks set out by them to a high standard as a nursery practitioner

Pay – We offer competitive rates for Nursery Practitioner / Nursery Assistants, ranging from £10.29-£12.40 per hour, dependant on qualifications and experience

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Designated key person, completing observations and planning activities for individual children
  Contribute to the everyday running of the Nursery
• Help deliver a programme of age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate the children you are working with
• Adhere to the Nursery Safeguarding Policy and manage the safety of the children in your care at ALL times
• Report any accidents to the relevant member of staff in the room you are based in
• Have passion and enthusiasm for providing a fun and stimulating environment for children
• Build a strong and solid relationship with Parents, children and other staff members
• Assist with the planning of a range of interesting, age appropriate activities for the EYFS curriculum

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience caring for young children from the ages of 0-5 years
• Knowledge of the EYFS, the seven areas of learning and any other relevant assessment schemes
• Able to communicate effectively with other staff members and build positive relationships
• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent

Desirable Criteria:

• Recent First Aid Certificate
• Safeguarding and Child Protection training

Due to the nature of this role as a nursery practitioner, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken, together with other safeguarding checks, including obtaining references from previous employers.
