Worldwide Education and Care are currently recruiting for a Participation and Tracking Advisor within the slough area. The role is to start in October 2020 on a short term contract.

1.2 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Contacting young people to ascertain their learning or work activities, and where they are NEET, providing support and encouragement to participate in education, employment or training.

Supporting the maintenance of the “Client Caseload Information System” with accurate up to date information that meets the statutory tracking and reporting requirements.

To support the local authority in meetings its targets in ensuring that young people whose Education, Employment and or Training status is unknown is as low as possible and within the top quintile performance nationally.

To assist with the effective delivery and implementation of the September Guarantee and Destination / Activity surveys.

MAIN Responsabilities

To maintain contact with all young people to ensure up to date information on their participation, working with a range of other agencies to ensure that accurate information is recorded at all times, through enquires through email, telephone, and letter.

  1. To give initial informed advice and information to support young people via telephone, email in finding appropriate EET opportunities and signpost young people to appropriate support if needed.
  1. Assess young peoples job aspirations and assist in identifying suitable opportunities and make referrals to other guidance professionals where necessary.
  1. Discuss detail about vacancies and opportunities with young people and maintains email tel contact with young people.
  2. Collate job vacancies (local) and other opportunities and inform colleagues of these and to support any mailshots and other activities which promote opportunities to the client group.
  1. To liaise directly with young people through email, telephone, word processing, supporting EET engagement workers in their client liaison and recording complaints, suggestions and commen.

Experience

Track record of engaging with young people over the telephone or a telesales background

Experience of working in a customer focused environment

Experience of building and maintaining positive relationships with young people through non face to face contact

Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English Language

IAG Level 3 or equivalent

Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to undertake any training as may be

required
