Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Supply / Temporary
Location: Various Primary and Secondary Schools
Reporting To: Class Teacher / Senior Leadership Team

 

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking flexible and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of school settings. You will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning and help to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Support pupils’ learning in the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Set up and tidy away classroom resources and equipment.
  • Supervise pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes, or school outings, as required.
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress and behaviour.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to adapt to different schools and classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A friendly, positive, and proactive attitude.

 

Desirable:

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Experience supporting a range of year groups or key stages.
  • Basic understanding of the National Curriculum.

This is a flexible, supply-based role with variable hours depending on school requirements. You will be representing Worldwide Education, and professionalism, reliability, and a passion for supporting children are essential.
