Educate 2Gether Training is seeking an Early Years and Teaching Assistant Assessor to join their team on hybrid full-time on a contract basis.

This CACHE-approved Education and Training Centre is passionate about providing training and support to individuals, and recognises the need for a committed workforce with industry-specific expertise.

The assessor will be responsible for training and assessing learners in the Early Years and/or Teaching Assistant role, sharing their knowledge and experience to ensure timely qualification completion.

Early Years and Teaching Assistant Assessor job description:

– Complete initial assessments with learners
– Deliver engaging workshops or online webinars to both individuals and groups of learners
– Prepare teaching materials in line with legislation and changes within the field
– Act as a course tutor/assessor, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of Education and Childcare courses
– Support the delivery of high-quality training that exceeds awarding body standards, including enhancing spoken and written English skills
– Integrate English and Maths into vocational teaching
– Assess learner evidence against qualifications and provide constructive feedback using the e-Portfolio system within 5 working days
– Identify and develop individualised action plans to support learner progression, considering Additional Learning Needs and complying with E2G requirements
– Maintain accurate and confidential records for each learner
– Handle administrative tasks and record-keeping associated with the role
– Promote curriculum development, ensuring monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance
– Conduct workplace assessments and observations for learners
– Take responsibility for learner attendance and well-being
– Provide additional support, including training on topics such as Prevent and British Values, personal development, CPD, behaviour and welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding
– Work with learners to maintain high retention rates and explore ways to mitigate withdrawals, if necessary
– Be aware of and work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
– Attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Standardisation events regularly to stay up to date in the field
– Uphold and promote E2G’s policies and procedures in all aspects of work
– Fulfil safeguarding responsibilities to protect children and vulnerable adults
– Comply with and promote E2G’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
– Ensure effective quality control and continuously strive for improvement
– Foster equal opportunities, eliminate discrimination, harassment, and victimisation
– Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and external partners as necessary
– Maintain confidentiality and security of all documentation and information
– Attend training, refresher courses, and meetings as required by the Line Manager
– Cooperate and participate in the Centre’s appraisal scheme
– Perform any other duties that correspond to the general requirements of the role and are commensurate with the level of responsibility.

Early Years and Teaching Assistant Assessor job requirements:

– Hold a relevant qualification or have extensive experience in the subject area
– Possess relevant assessing/teaching qualifications such as CAVA, AiET or above/equivalent
– Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge
– Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners
– Possess strong IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, the Internet, and PowerPoint, and be willing to work with e-portfolios
– Can motivate learners and ensure timely completion
