Worldwide Education, The UK’s number one supply agency, are seeking experienced Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants who are enthusiastic and motivated to undertake day-to-day supply cover in vibrant and energetic Nursery Settings. This role is based in Greenford.
A successful Nursery Practitioner/Nursery Assistant will be expected to work alongside dynamic and supportive nursery teams in various settings and commit to delivering the highest possible level of fun and interactive learning in a safety-oriented environment.
Pay for Nursery Practitioner/ Nursery Assistant
We offer competitive hourly rates for Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants depending on their level of Qualifications and experience in the childcare sector, ranging from £13.68-£16.15 per hour.
Purpose of Post:
- To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting.
- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
- To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Reports to:
Nursery Manager/Deputy
Main Duties:
- To effectively deliver the EYFS curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).
- To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
- To be responsible for organising the learning environment both indoors and outdoors to ensure resources and equipment are available and appropriate to meet the needs of the children.
- To participate in planning activities as part of a team which ensure each child is working towards their next steps.
- To write observations and reports for their key children as requested by the Nursery Manager/Deputy.
- To assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with toilet training and other associated welfare duties.
- To support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
- To be responsible and report when resources run low; including wipes, aprons, gloves, art equipment, etc.
- To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.
- To advise the Nursery Manager/Deputy of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
- To ensure records are properly maintained, eg. daily register, daily diaries, accident and incident records, daily open and closing risk assessment, daily fridge temperature recording, etc.
- To be involved in working activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents meetings, etc.
- To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties as needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, pack-away, setting-up etc.
- To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting’s philosophy is fulfilled.
- To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role and the safe running of the setting.
- To develop your role within the team, especially with regard to being a key person.
- To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job.
- To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times, both in work hours and outside.
- To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- To undertake and lead on additional responsibilities as requested by the Manager.
