Job Title: Nursery Manager

Location: Ascot (SL5)

Salary: £40,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week (5 days per week)

Role Overview:

As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our client’s childcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for young children. You will lead a team of dedicated staff, manage administrative tasks, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high levels of performance and professionalism.

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including health & safety standards and child protection procedures.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies, fostering a supportive and inclusive childcare environment.

Oversee the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and educational programs in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles.

Monitor children progress and development, ensuring individual needs are met and appropriate interventions are implemented.

Conduct regular staff supervision, appraisals, and training to support continuous professional development and maintain high standards of practice.

Manage nursery budgets, financial records, and reporting, ensuring efficient resource management and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.

Extensive experience working in early years education, with previous managerial experience preferred.

Comprehensive understanding of EYFS principles, regulatory requirements, and child protection procedures.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

Proficiency in staff supervision, performance management, and training.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and education for young children.

Flexibility to work a 40-hour week over 5 days, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
