Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Reports to: Nursery Manager

Location: Iver, SL0

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Rotating shifts between 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Our client is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team in Iver, SL0. The successful candidate will primarily be assigned to the baby room but may be required to support other rooms as needed. This role involves working with children aged 6 months to 4 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Role Purpose:

To provide high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 4 years.

To create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop and thrive.

To work closely with the Nursery Manager and other team members to deliver the best outcomes for children.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.

Understand and comply with nursery policies and procedures.

Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children development across all areas.

Observe, assess, and record children progress, sharing this information with parents and carers.

Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including conducting risk assessments.

Cater to the individual needs of each child, considering allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural or religious practices.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to care and education.

Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Engage in continuous professional development to keep up to date with best practices in early years education.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience working in a childcare setting

Knowledge of child development and early years education

Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and education

Desirable:

Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 3 in Childcare)

First Aid Certificate

Experience working with babies and young children
