Nursery Room Leader

Worldwide Education, The UK’s number one supply agency, are looking to speak to experienced Nursery Practitioners interested in a Room Leader role.

We are excited to offer this full-time permanent position within a leading Nursery based in Ascot, Berkshire.

A successful candidate will be expected to work together with a dynamic, supportive staff and senior leadership team who are committed to delivering the highest possible level of childcare in a safety-oriented environment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
  • Ensuring the health, safety and well being of the children at all times
  • Overseeing the smooth running of the Room
  • Leading the staff team to deliver high-quality practice within the room
  • Planning, observation and keeping records
  • Using your knowledge and experience to introduce new ideas and activities

Pay
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are shown below.

Essential Skills:

  • A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children
  • Solid experience as a Key Worker within an Early Years setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and to be able to use this to plan activities for the children
  • To be punctual and well organised
  • An enhanced DBS check


Desirable Criteria:

  • A Level 3 or above Childcare qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Recent First Aid Certificate
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection training
