Job Title: Permanent Nursery Practitioner

We are currently recruiting for qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our client’s beautiful nursery based in Middlewich, CW10. Successful candidates can expect a competitive salary, additional training, and the opportunity to grow and progress in their careers.

Salary Details: £12.60 per hour

Hours of Work: Between 40 to 45 hours per week, to be decided by the manager between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm

Expected Working Days Per Week: Ideally 5 days but would accept 4 long days.

Age Group of Children in the Program: From birth to 5 years old

Purpose of the Role:

To effectively work alongside a team in Early Years to deliver a stimulating and nurturing environment for children.

To work under the person in charge efficiently and carry out tasks set out by them to a high standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Designated key person, completing observations and planning activities for individual children.

Contribute to the everyday running of the nursery.

Help deliver a program of age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate the children you are working with.

Adhere to the nursery Safeguarding Policy and manage the safety of the children in your care at ALL times.

Report any accidents to the relevant member of staff in the room you are based in.

Have passion and enthusiasm for providing a fun and stimulating environment for children.

Build strong and solid relationships with parents, children, and other staff members.

Assist with the planning of a range of interesting, age-appropriate activities for the EYFS curriculum.

Essential Skills:

Previous experience caring for young children from the ages of 0-5 years.

Knowledge of the EYFS, the seven areas of learning, and any other relevant assessment schemes.

Able to communicate effectively with other staff members and build positive relationships.

A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

Desirable Criteria:

Recent First Aid Certificate.

Safeguarding and Child Protection training.

Due to the nature of this role, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken, together with other safeguarding checks, including obtaining references from previous employers.
