Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Salary: £24,376 to £25,376 per annum

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 hours), but willing to consider fewer hours/part-time for the right candidate

Location: Southampton, SO30.

Our client, a prominent nursery in Southampton SO30, presents an opportunity for a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their team dedicated to providing top-quality childcare to children and families. The nursery comprises three detached buildings, meticulously tailored to accommodate the developmental stages of the children. Nestled within a half-acre site, the nursery boasts sensory gardens, playground equipment, dens, and hidey holes, all adjacent to the 40-acre Hatch Grange Nature Reserve.

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities:

Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources tailored to children’s developmental stages.

Ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.

Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards in the nursery.

Undertake additional duties to ensure smooth nursery operations and the safety and well-being of children, staff, and families.

Foster professional relationships and promptly report any concerns to management.

Facilitate a robust key person approach and cover for colleagues when necessary.

Attend regular team meetings to stay abreast of priorities, changes, and company policies.

Requirements and Skills:

Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification – essential

Fluent in written and spoken English – essential

Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years – desirable

Familiarity with the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – desirable

Operating from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, we require flexibility in shift patterns within these hours.
