Job Title: Qualified Early Years Practitioner

We are currently recruiting for qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our client’s Pre-School Settings in Aldershot (GU11) that is committed to provide high-quality care and education for children in a secure, safe, and stimulating environment. Purpose of the Role:

As a qualified member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all children attending our setting receive exceptional care, feel safe, and are valued as individuals. Responsibilities:

Personal Responsibilities:

Provide high standards of quality care and education, addressing individual and group needs in a secure and stimulating environment.

Adhere to key policies and procedures, including Safeguarding Children, Equal Opportunities, Behaviour Management, and Health and Safety.

Be flexible with working hours and shift patterns to meet the needs of the setting.

Handle parent issues and concerns promptly and accurately, collaborating with room leaders and management as necessary.

Participate in staff and room meetings, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our practices.

Act as an ambassador for or clients Pre-School Settings within the community, upholding our standards at all times.

Maintain confidentiality of information received and support colleagues in their roles.

Attend training sessions and courses as directed by room leaders or managers.

Collaborate with early years professionals and support staff training by modelling excellent practice.

Challenge poor practice and promote positive relations among staff, parents, and children.

Childcare and Curriculum:

Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and deliver appropriate guidance for young children.

Monitor and report on children’s progress and achievements, ensuring continuity in their learning journey.

Facilitate the settling of new children into your room and support transitions within the setting.

Attend to children’s daily needs, including personal care, nutrition, and health considerations.

Ensure the environment is safe, clean, and conducive to children’s development, conducting health and safety checks as required.

Support free flow systems, outdoor play, and meaningful interactions to enhance children’s experiences.

Assist in the preparation of activities, serve meals, and maintain attendance records.

Respond to safeguarding issues and accidents promptly, taking appropriate action and documentation.

Support unqualified staff in completing learning journeys and assessments.

Parent and Carer Responsibilities:

Work in partnership with parents/carers, encouraging their involvement in the setting and addressing their concerns sensitively.

Deliver parent meetings and open days, ensuring clear communication and understanding of procedures.

Maintain awareness of children’s home circumstances and collaborate with parents to support their child’s well-being.

Uphold cultural, religious, and personal preferences of parents, fostering inclusivity and integration in the setting.

Room and Premises Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining a tidy, organized, and safe environment, adhering to risk assessments and health and safety policies.

Ensure resources are stored correctly, cleaned regularly, and reported any breakages or maintenance needs.

Support in cleaning duties and daily tasks, including answering calls, opening doors, and managing registers.

Display appropriate signage and ensure displays are changed regularly, reflecting the settings standards and ethos.

Health and Safety:

Contribute to maintaining the health, safety, and security of all individuals within the setting.

Follow health and safety procedures, including first aid protocols, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.

Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure compliance with all paperwork and documentation.

Assist in risk assessments and incident reporting, ensuring thorough documentation and communication.
